Academic Affairs Team

The Academic Affairs Team is responsible for the planning and adjustment of SKKU’s undergraduate/graduate education operation plans and work related to university affairs.

Major Responsibilities and Functions

  • Management of division director’s and general college deans’ official seals
  • Establishment and adjustment of basic plans for academic affairs
  • Establishment of majors, departments, and graduate programs and adjustments of quotas
  • Improvement of the university system
  • Organization and adjustment of educational programs
  • Coordination of matters related to instructor policies
  • Operation of academic affairs committee

Office of Academic Services

The office of Academic Services provides integrated services regarding academic records, graduation, courses, and grades for undergraduate/general graduate school students, and runs and manages the One-Stop Academic Service Center.

Major Responsibilities and Functions

  • Administration of basic planning for academic management
  • Operation and development of academic system
  • Regulation of the academic system and establishment/amendment of guidelines
  • Provision of integration service for academic records, graduation, and three qualifications (3 PUM)
  • Provision of integration service for courses, grades, and course registration
  • Assignment and management of major courses’ lecturers
  • Operation of One-Stop Academic Service Center
  • Management of the search for academic records, and issuance of certificate/confirmation documents
  • Conferment of degrees and coordination of graduation ceremonies
  • Operation of degree-qualifying examinations
  • Performance of graduation evaluations and coordinator of thesis/dissertation submissions
  • Assignment of educational spaces
  • Operation of seasonal/intensive courses
  • Management of domestic/international credit exchange
  • Operation of BSM joint examinations

Faculty Human Resources Team

The Faculty Human Resources Team is responsible for the establishment and implementation of faculty supply plans, management of full-time faculty reappointment, promotion, tenure-track, performance evaluation and sabbatical leaves, and appointment of part-time faculty members.

  • Appointment of faculty members
  • Management of faculty training
  • The rewarding and punishment of faculty members
  • Coordination of faculty performance evaluations
  • Management of honorary appointments
  • Appointment of foreign and part-time faculty members
  • Operation of the faculty personnel committee
  • Management of faculty sabbatical leave system

Education Support Team

Major Responsibilities and Functions

  • The research of curriculum advancement plans
  • Development and supply of teaching methods
  • Development of course/subject performance evaluation methods
  • Development and supply of virtual education teaching methods
  • Establishment and implementation of virtual education promotion plans
  • Development of virtual education curriculums
  • Coordination of matters related to multimedia educational support
  • Development, production, promotion, and supply of educational media and materials
  • Management of facilities and equipment related to multimedia and virtual education
  • Preparation for the establishment of digital university matters related to the Open Cyber University
