SW-Centered University Project Group Signboard Unveiling Ceremony

 

SKKU held the unveiling ceremony of the ‘SW-centered university project group’ signboard at the Natural Sciences Campus Semiconductor Building on the 19th and wished for the successful implementation of the project.


Major figures, including President Dong Ryeol Shin, school corporations, and academic affairs committee members, attended the signboard ceremony. The event started with a welcome speech by President Shin, followed by congratulatory remarks by a Permanent member of board Youngsu Chu, and Director Eun Seok Lee’s introduction of the project group and vision declaration.


In his welcoming speech, President Shin said, “We hope SKKU will take advantage of the SW-centered university project to become a leading university in global convergence. Based on the collaboration between universities and companies, we will actively support them to become a global model of the industry-academic-connected education ecosystem.”


SKKU was selected as the target of the first phase of the SW-centered university project in 2015, achieving achievements such as strengthening a new technology education and differentiated software curriculum and achieving successive selection for the second phase project in 2021.

SKKU’s SW-centered university aims to become a leading university in SW-AI global convergence and will strive to innovate and improve the education system/ reinforce education for SW majors/ expand SW convergence education/ expand SW value.


Director Lee said, “In the second phase of the SW-centered university project, we will stand as a leading university in SW convergence by upgrading and spreading SW education innovation models and expanding cooperation between universities.”
