Co-Data Garcons Team, CO-Data Station Datathon Grand Prize Winner



On July 6th, from 6th to 7th, the "Co-Data Station" event took place at Konkuk University's X-Space, and our university's Co-Data Garcons Team (comprising students from the Computer Education Department - Lee Seung-min, Park Ji-hoon, Ji Yoon-ho, and students from the Global Convergence Department, Data Science Convergence Major - Shin Sae-byeol, Song Jae-hyun) received the Grand Prize.


Co-Data Station is a data literacy competition (Data-Ton Contest) held to enhance the effectiveness of 13 advanced field education supported by the Convergence and Open Sharing System (COSS) and to improve the practical competencies of education beneficiaries within the industry.


The event took place for one night and two days, starting on July 6th, and participants worked on solving given problems by developing ideas using data literacy.


The Co-Data Garcons Team was awarded the Grand Prize (Convergence and Open Sharing System Chairman's Award) and received a certificate and a cash prize of 1 million won.


Lee Seung-min, the team leader of Co-Data Garcons, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to achieve good results and have an enjoyable experience, and he hoped that Co-Data Station would be a positive experience for all participants.


Kim Jae-hyun, Vice President (Director of the Artificial Intelligence Convergence Open Sharing System), remarked that for the first Co-Data Station event, Sungkyunkwan University students' participation led to great results and showcased the capabilities of their students. He encouraged more students to participate in Datathon in the future.
