Sungkyunkwan University Ranks 1st in the 2021 THE Among Private Universities in Korea
Times Higher Education (THE), a British global university evaluation agency, ranked 1,662 universities in 99 countries. Maeil Business News Korea currently exclusively reports THE’s various university rankings in Korea.
A total of 36 four-year universities in Korea were in THE ranking. Among them, Seoul National University, Yeonsei University, Seojong University and Kyungpook National University were ranked higher than last year. However, only one new university entered the ranking this year.
Seoul National University ranked 54th in he world university rankings, up six ranks from last year. KAIST ranked 99th and Sungkyunkwan University ranked 122nd, following Seoul National University.
Sungkyunkwan University ranked third in the overall rankings in Korea with high scores in industry-academic cooperation and internationalization sections.
