The Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI, President Hee-yoon CHOI) and Sungkyunkwan University (President Dong Ryeol SHIN) signed a memorandum of understanding at SKKU’s Humanities and Social Sciences Campus in Seoul on May 29th. The agreement was made to develop education projects based on analysis models for technology commercialization and create a supercomputing infrastructure.

Both organizations agreed to collaborate by sharing data, analysis models, and systems and initiate joint education programs related to technology commercialization. They will also develop and operate joint curricula about utilizing analysis models and systems to support technology commercialization as well as find and work with new businesses to nurture talents.

KISTI President Choi said, “The training course in the field of technology commercialization developed with Sungkyunkwan University will be an important program that allows talented people to develop practical skills to lead innovative growth in small and medium-sized enterprises.” She also added, “I hope talented people will use the KISTI infrastructure to become professionals who can commercialize convergent technologies, which are the core of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.”
