SKKU has been recognized as a university which has received the largest research fund in 2016. 10 research centers in SKKU have been selected for the mid-large size research project from the first half of 2016, with financial support of around ￦3800 million won.
107 researchers of SKKU were selected for RF (Research Fellow) Business which is designed to cultivate researchers of the next generation, by providing funds of ￦50 million won to each doctorate researcher. Also, SKKU placed No.1 in the second half of 2016 for the Korea Basic Science Support Business (Foreign Researcher Sector) out of 17 nominated researchers.
Furthermore, not only did SKKU show its outstanding results in the 2016 Global Ph.D. Fellowship, where 30 researchers were selected and placed No.1 in private universities in Korea; but also, ranked at No.1 in the nation for ‘Creative Convergence Research Business for Undergraduate Students’ with 14 selected students.
