SKKU ‘LINC’ sets new industry-university collaboration model 2015.04.15

Sungkyunkwan University(SKKU) is leading the Creative Economy, one of the  core objectives of the Park Geun-hye administration. The reason behind SKKU’s success is it’s entrepreneurship education.

 

SKKU’s Leaders IN Industry university Cooperation(LINC) set’s up the goal to ‘establish a human centered smart-green business ecosystem for sustainable growth’ through ‘the creation of new fields in industry’, ‘support of youth foundations and small business’s global innovation capacity’ and ’training creative human resources’.

 

Especially, the ‘Kickstart Program’, benchmarked from Adobe, made the base for the creation of United Workshop for start-up clubs. They also ran the foundation camp where university students from about 40 universities including SKKU students participated and developed new business models.

 

“Unlike other universities, the Executive Vice-President takes on the additional role of President of Research & Business Foundation and LINC, to promote domestic and international industry-university collaborations.” said an official in LINC “and with 20 percent of the students of the Natural Science Campus coming from Gyeonggi province, cultivating regional specilist is a priority as well as start-up incubation, and  training international specialist along with specialist in the field of industry & university collaboration."
