Paul Menkveld, Dutch Ambassador to Korea

As a part of the “Listen to the World” (foreign ambassador invited lecture series), Dr. Dong-Ok Chah, Vice President of International Affairs, Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) invited Paul Menkweld, Dutch Ambassador to Korea to hold a special lecture on May 22. In this lecture, more than 100 students participated in the lecture on Netherland-South Korea relationship of economic cooperation.
Ambassador Menkweld introduced Netherland and the economic cooperation between the Netherlands and South Korea. Also, he spoke on the topic of diplomatic relations and cultural exchange.
Through this lecture, students had the chance to understand The Netherlands and develop a broader global perspective.
Ambassador Menkweld gave thanks to students’ active participation in the lecture and said he hopes it was a great opportunity for Korean students to gain more interest in the Netherlands and continue on the active exchange between the two countries.
The lecture was followed by the ‘Study in Netherlands’ information session. Students who are preparing for the exchange student or study abroad program participated in the event and gained useful information about studying in the Netherlands.
