  Signs MOU for Dual Degree


On August 1 (Wed), Sungkyunkwan University’s (Jun Young Kim, President, SKKU) Graduate School of Governance (Gi-Heon Kwon, Dean) singed a MOU with the Graduate School of Law, Doshisha University, Japan. In accordance to this agreement, both universities will carry out student exchange programs for acquiring dual degrees (Masters Degree in Public Administration, SKKU and Maters Degree in Comparative Studies/Comparative Government, Doshisha University). Starting in 2013, two students from each university will participate in this program each year.

 

All lectures within the dual degree program will be conducted in English. Students will take first and fourth semester in the home university, second and third semester in the partner university. Participating students will receive a degree from both SKKU and Doshisha University once the credits for completion have been met and thesis (in English) is passed. 

 

Doshisha University (Eiji Hatta, President) located in Kyoto, Japan, is a prestigious private university which was included in the 2010 QS World University Rankings #501~550. The university has Faculty of Theology, Literature, Sociology, Law, Economics, Commercial science, policy science, Culture studies, and Engineering. Tradition in ‘Internationalism’ and ‘Study of Foreign Cultures’ is the university’s distinct characteristic.
