-Diverse Events Including Cultural Performances, Branding Booths, ESG Management, etc

-Active Interest in Seoul Campus Town Business Community Collaboration Program

Our university hosted the 'Car-Free Street in Daehakno with SKKU' event on August 19th (Saturday) in the area around Hyehwa Station and Marronnier Park

This event was part of the ongoing Car-Free Street event that has been carried out as a project since June, closely cooperating with Jongno-gu to provide diverse cultural and artistic booths, performances, and contents that interact with the local community.

The main stage of the Car-Free Street event with SKKU will feature an ESG-themed competition awards ceremony, followed by cultural performances prepared by the Department of Theatre and Dance in the School of Arts, screenings of works from the Department of Film Studies, and various student club performances and youth culture shows.

From the street from Hyehwa Station Exit 1 to Marronnier Park, booths by Sungkyunkwan University students, centered around the Student Council, were set up. The Student Council provided various experiential booths that symbolize the past and present times over the street. Departments like Design and Fashion Design presented various goods for sale and hands-on production experiences. Additionally, as this event also focuses on the cultural development of the local community and ESG, booths from small business owners in Jongno-gu, such as Ewha Art Studio, were also installed.

Furthermore, the Law School operated a free legal consultation booth to communicate with the local community, and students from the Medical School also ran a career mentoring booth to provide diverse content to the weekend visitors in Daehakno.

Jun beom Cho, the President of the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus Student Council, stated, "Through this Car-Free Street event, I hope it becomes an opportunity for Sungkyunkwan University to enhance its brand and for the university and the local community to mutually develop and prosper as we hold the event in Daehakno, a cultural and artistic landmark."

Meanwhile, the Seoul Campus Town Business Community Collaboration Program also garnered significant attention as it took place. The Creative Bridge Festival, a student startup support program of the Campus Town Business, was held on this day, with 21 teams from 8 universities that were selected through local preliminaries participating. Among them, a total of 8 teams (1 Grand Prize, 2 Excellent Awards, 5 Outstanding Awards) received awards."
