The Student Success-Creative Award Ceremony was held in the 600th Anniversary Hall on August 21st. 61 students who displayed their talents in various areas received the award. This award is evaluated not based on grades of financial status but by considering achievements in areas of research, extracurricular activities, volunteer, communication, globalization and business start-up.
SKKU opened the first Student Success Center in Korea last March and has set “student success” as the keyword for its education policy. The school newly established student success scholarship system to promote student success and develop convergent talents. The specific categories of the scholarship are creative award, challenge award, research award and convergent award. The winners of creative awards will receive the full tuition for a single semester and students who are currently receiving another scholarship will receive KRW 2,500,000 for living expense.
Vice-President of Student Affairs said, “We created this scholarship system to promote self-development and creativity of students.”
