Dr. Ernst SCHMACHTENBERG, Rector of RWTH Aachen University (Germany), visited SKKU on Oct 26th (Thurs) to make university-wide academic/student exchange agreements and develop bilateral collaborations of the two universities.
At the meeting, President Kyu Sang CHUNG, Vice-President Ji Beom YOO, Dean of College of Engineering Prof. Jun Young LEE, and Vice Dean of College of Engineering Prof. Chung Sik YOO participated and developed practical discussions on research activities. In particular, they shared the present research conditions of the Dream2Lab2Fab Joint Research Center established at RWTH Aachen University at the end of 2016 and developed possible exchanges in the field of Big Data and AI.
The Business schools in SKKU and RWTH Aachen made an exchange agreement for their academic/student exchanges in 2013, while both universities’ college of engineering signed an MOU for student exchanges.
From this meeting, the bilateral ties between the two universities are expected to strengthen further.
