SKKU-KU Leaven Agree to Enter MOU 2017.09.26

The SKKU College of Information and Communication Engineering visited KU Leuven, Belgium and IMEC, an international R&D and innovation hub in nanoelectronics and digital technologies from Sep 12th to 13th.

 

Through the meeting, the SKKU College of Information and Communication Engineering and KU Leuven Faculty of Engineering agreed to enter an MOU and develop student exchanges and a 2+2 dual-degree agreement.

 

With IMEC, the college made active discussions for possible joint research activities and will develop further plans for graduate student internships and more.

 

Established in 1425, KU Leuven is the largest university in Belgium. The university consistently ranks among the top 100 universities in the world. As of 2017-2018, it ranks 47th globally according to Times Higher Education (THE). The Faculty of Engineering Technology at KU Leuven visited the SKKU College of Information and Communication Engineering recently on June 13th, 2017.

 

IMEC is a leading international institute in the fields of nanoelectronics and digital technologies. In September 2016, IMEC merged with the Flemish digital research center iMinds. The institute employs around 4,000 researchers from more than 75 countries and boasts numerous facilities dedicated to research and development around the world, including 12,000 square meters of cleanroom capacity for semiconductor processing.
