The Korea Professional Golfer's Association(KPGA) announced on April 21, it signed a business agreement MOU with Sungkyunkwan Universtiy(SKKU) College of Sports Science at the KPGA building in Sung-nam. KPGA President Hwang Sung-wha and SKKU College of Sports Science Dean Chang Kyung-ro were there for the event.
Through the collaboration KPGA and SKKU will be assigning specialist to each other’s institute, and will proceed joint academic research on the Korean golf industry. In addition to this undergraduates and graduate students will be able to participate in internships that are expected to lead to the cultivation of specialists in the industry.
“By providing the opportunity for joint research, this agreement will contribute to the development of Korea’s professional golf industry, and bring about the education of talented specialist from our college” remarked Dean Chang. The KPGA has also agreed upon talks to regularly host a symposium on ways to develop the Korean professional golf industry with SKKU.
