Professor Gonoshi who is an authority on the study of ‘Kojiki’ and ‘Nihon Shoki’, Japan’s most famous works on ancient Japnese history, donated 5,000 volumns to SKKU.
“ For the future of east asian numismatics, I wanted to donate these books to Korea” said Prof. Gonoshi.
Among the books being donated, there are a number of rare copies that would be illegal in Korea to take aboard.
Professor Gonoshi held a seminar on March 11, ” Understanding text as a methodology - 40 years with ‘Kojiki’ and ‘Nihon Shoki’ at SKKU’s 600th Anniversary Building in celebration of his donation.
