The buses may look a little bit more animated than usual at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU).
The character design sported by the special buses is based on a character from the popular children's cartoon Tayo the Little Bus. A special arrangement with Iconix Entertainment, EBS, and Seoul City brought the cartoon design to SKKU's bus fleet.
Iconix Entertainment is run by CEO Choi Jong-il, an alumnus of SKKU who graduated from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication in 1988. Iconix is also responsible for Pororo the Little Penguin, who can still be seen in SKKU's Humanities and Social Sciences Campus in Geumjandi Square in front of the Business School Building.
Facial features on the fronts of SKKU buses resemble Tayo the Little Bus.
