On Nov. 7, SKKU announced that its school board had appointed Prof. Chung Kyu-sang as its 20th president. The newly-appointed president graduated from SKKU's Department of Law in 1976, recieved his Master's in 1978 and doctorate degree in 1994. Currently he serves as Executive Vice President at SKKU's Humanities and Social Sciences Campus.
"I will try hard to be a leader who always takes the lead, who is respectful to others and who builds tight bonds amongst members of SKKU. And through this, I am certain our university will gain prestige and globalization," the new president announced.
He will serve a four-year term starting on January 17, 2015.
