On Sept. 15., SKKU announced that its nonscheduled admissions competition rate till the 15th was 29.1 to 1, and, when considering only the quota students, 30.26 to 1. The application number was expecially impressive with the numbers up to 81,859.
The department that showed the highest competition rate was the school of medicine with 206 to 1. The newly established Global Biomedical Engineering department also showed a high turn out of 77 to 1.
“ This year’s nonscheduled admissions is showing a general raise in the competition rate compared to last year” said the admissions vice president Kim, Yoon-bai “Due to this year’s easier scholastic aptitude test students are showing a tendency to apply for higher and preferable departments”.
