Kim Jaehyun, Director of the AI Convergence and Open Sharing Office (AICOSS), receives Minister of Education Award 

- Recognized for contribution to cultivating key talents through participation in advanced field innovation convergence college project

Kim Jaehyun, Vice President of the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus and Director of the AI Convergence and Open Sharing Office (AICOSS) received the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Award for his contribution to cultivating key talents at the Advanced Field Innovation Convergence College Consortium Achievement Forum held on January 17th.


The Advanced Field Innovation Convergence College Consortium Achievement Forum, held in Songdo, Incheon from January 17th to 19th, was attended by over 80 universities participating in the project, the Ministry of Education, research foundations, to share the results of the first phase of three-year operation and discuss the second phase of three-year operation plan starting from March 2024.

The Advanced Field Innovation Convergence College Consortium consists of 13 consortia including artificial intelligence, big data, next-generation semiconductors, future automobiles, biohealth, immersive media, intelligent robots, energy-new industries, aerospace drones, semiconductor materials, secondary batteries, next-generation communications, and eco-industry. Among them, our university operates the AI Convergence and Open Sharing Office at the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus and the Semiconductor Materials Innovation Convergence College Office at the Natural Sciences Campus.


Director Kim Jaehyun of the AI Convergence and Open Sharing Office (AICOSS) operates the office to discover future talents who can apply artificial intelligence technology to various social fields through training AI specialists and AI+X convergence talents. He strives for university credit exchange through the development of jointly operated courses and professional manpower enhancement through the development of micro-degree education programs.


The office conducts environmental improvement projects such as changing classroom interiors, introducing advanced equipment, and replacing student desks/chairs during vacation periods each year to improve the educational environment for students. Additionally, it selects 100 students who have achieved outstanding grades through participation in micro-degree education programs and provides scholarships.
