Department of Computer Education Alumnus Hyun-seop Kim Wins the 2023 Talent Medal of Korea

Hyun-seop Kim, an alumnus of the Department of Computer Education, has been awarded the 2023 Talent Medal of Korea.

In 2020, Hyun-seop Kim was selected as an outstanding legislative officer by the Legislative Research Service, receiving commendation from the head of the Legislative Research Service. He was also recognized with an excellence award in a competition organized by the Korean Bar Association and achieved 3rd place in the Patent Litigation Moot Court Competition, affirming his potential as a future expert in intellectual property law. Kim holds a lawyer's license and is currently studying to obtain a legal practitioner's license.

Furthermore, the alumnus visited the university's Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) in 2019 as part of the 51st cohort and delivered a lecture titled 'Dialogue with Seniors.'

Kim expressed his gratitude, saying, "The field of intellectual property law, covering patents, trademarks, designs, and copyrights, requires knowledge spanning both liberal arts and sciences. I was able to acquire such expertise by majoring in computer education and law at my alma mater. I am thankful for the numerous opportunities and support provided by the professors of Computer Education during my undergraduate years." He also stated his ambition, saying, "I will strive to contribute to our country as a legal professional in the field of intellectual property law after obtaining a legal practitioner's license."
