Department of Chemical Engineering and Polymer Engineering 37th Chookang Culture Scholarship Award Ceremony
The 37th Alumni Scholarship Award ceremony was initiated with KOWON Co., Ltd Chairman Sang-jo Park's (Class of '66, Chemical Engineering) passion for his alma mater and love for his juniors took place on October 4th at the Natural Science Campus, Engineering Building 2.
The recipients of the scholarship are as follows: Ji-won Kim from the Integrated Master's and Doctoral Program (4th), Ji-young Nam from the 2nd generation of doctoral students, Dong-gwang Min (6th) of the Integrated Master's and Doctoral Program, Hyun-soo Park (5th) of the Integrated Master's and Doctoral Program, and Won-tae Hong (5th) of the Integrated Master's and Doctoral Program. Each recipient was awarded a scholarship of 3 million won.
The event was attended by Tae-sung Kim, the Dean of the College of Engineering, Jun-yeop Lee, the Head of Chemical Engineering and Polymer Engineering, and 11 faculty members from the Department of Chemical Engineering and Polymer Engineering. Chairman Sang-jo Park personally presented the scholarship certificates to the students and congratulated them.
Chairman Sang-jo Park has donated a total of 1.69 billion won since 2004 to establish the Alumni Park Sang-jo Scholarship Fund, and to date, he has awarded a total of 797.75 million won in scholarships to 189 students majoring in chemical engineering and law school.
