Law School Graduate School Holds 2023 Second Semester Suh Il Scholarship Award Ceremony

The Law School held the 2023 Second Semester Suh Il Scholarship Award Ceremony at the Kim Young-Soo Memorial Hall in the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus on September 21st (Thursday).

The Suh Il Scholarship is a scholarship funded by Su-kyung Seok (Law School alumni, Law '73, and Chairman of Suh Il Trading Co., Ltd.) and has been awarded to Law School students every semester since the spring semester of 2014. Originally, two students were selected, each receiving 5 million KRW. However, starting from the spring semester of 2021, one student has been awarded the full tuition, and furthermore, from the second semester of 2021, the number of recipients has been expanded from 2 to 3 students. The Suh Il Scholarship recipients for the first semester of 2023 are Dae-in Moon (13th), Hye-na Seo (14th), and Woo-seok Lee (14th).

The event was attended by Il-hwan Kim, the dean of the Law School, Sang-hyun Jung, the head of the academic affairs department, and Professor Dong-hoon, Shin. Dean Il-hwan Kim presented the scholarship certificates on behalf of Su-kyung Seok, an alumnus of the Law School.

Dean Il-hwan Kim encouraged the scholarship recipients by saying, "Do not forget the love of the donor and strive in your studies." In response, the scholarship recipients expressed their gratitude and shared their thoughts, saying, "We will take on the responsibility, focus on our studies, and become legal professionals who give back to society, in appreciation for the scholarship we have received."
