"Quantum Life Science for Medicine" Conference for Overcoming Neurodegenerative Disorders to be Held by Institute of Quantum Biophysics (IQB)

-To be held from July 6th (Thurs) for 3 days at the Natural Sciences Campus

The Institute of Quantum Biophysics (IQB) will host and organize the First "Wisdom: Quantum Life Science for Medicine" conference, which will take place from July 6th (Thurs) to July 8th (Sat), covering 2 nights and 3 days on the Natural Sciences Campus.

This conference, the first of its kind to be held this year by the Institute of Quantum Life Science at Sungkyunkwan University, will be conducted under the theme of "World Innovation Summit for Neurodegenerative Disease: Opportunities and Challenges in Medicine, WISDOM," inviting speakers and researchers from around the world.

At this conference, domestic and international scholars and experts from various fields will participate in lectures and discussions. The event will feature four main sessions: △Molecular Diagnostics and Protein Analysis △Degenerative Brain Diseases △Bio and Medical Imaging Technology △Quantum Biology.

The plenary speakers include world-renowned scholars in biophysics such as △Cees Dekker, Professor at Delft University of Technology, specializing in biological physics △Ortwin Hess, Professor at Trinity College Dublin, specializing in quantum nanophotonics △Taekjip Ha, Professor at Johns Hopkins University, specializing in single-molecule bioimaging △Luke P. Lee, Professor at Harvard University and Sungkyunkwan University, specializing in nanobiophotonics, who will present their latest research.

Following that, 12 keynote speakers, including global experts in the field of neurodegenerative brain disease research, such as Inhee Mook-Jung, Professor at Seoul National University, Han Seok Ko, Professor at Johns Hopkins University, and Doo Yeon Kim, Professor at Harvard University, along with Clarice Aiello, Director of the UCLA Quantum Biology Center, will present their latest research.

An official from the Institute of Quantum Biophysics (IQB) stated, "Through this international symposium, we plan to establish a network of various fields, both domestically and internationally, for overcoming neurodegenerative brain diseases from the perspective of quantum life physics, and expand the global ecosystem of quantum life science research."

This conference is open to the general public and anyone interested. Pre-registration can be done on the website until June 23rd, or on-site registration is also available. Attendance is free of charge.
