Sungkyunkwan University conducted a rural volunteering activity for 5 nights and 6 days in Sangju, Gyeongsangbuk-do
-From June 12th (Mon) to 17th (Sat), approximately 210 students participated
-Took place in 12 villages in Moseo-myeon, Modong-myeon, and Hwadong-myeon of Sangju City
-The students engaged in tasks such as weeding, grapevine pruning, and land improvement to assist with rural work
Our university conducted rural volunteer activities from June 12th (Mon) to 17th (Sat), for a period of 5 nights and 6 days, in the villages of 12 regions including Moseo-myeon, Modong-myeon, Hwadong-myeon, and others in Sangju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do and around 210 students participated in these activities.
During this rural volunteering activity, which was carried out based on the cultivation of student character and the spirit of coexistence between urban and rural areas, the participating students interacted with residents and performed tasks such as weeding, grapevine pruning, and land improvement.
For this volunteering activity, more than 47 teams applied to be selected as one of the 12 teams. This demonstrated the students' interest in and passionate dedication to rural areas.
On June 14th (Wed), President Ji-beom Yoo, Student Affairs Manager So-hye Hyun, and the Mayor of Sangju City visited a village hall located in Moseo-myeon to encourage the students.
