The logotypes have been proportionally adjusted according to the form of each typeface. Therefore, the shape, weight, proportion,
and letter spacing of the characters must not be arbitrarily altered. For the English logotype, spacing equivalent to approximately one-third of the horizontal width of the letter “K” has been inserted between “Sung” and “Kyun,” and between “Kyun” and “Kwan.”
This adjustment was made visually to improve readability, and the letter spacing must not be modified arbitrarily. However, when using word-processing software for various internal university documents, “Sungkyunkwan” should be written continuously without visual spacing adjustments. In addition, the logotype of the Sungkyunkwan University UI may be used independently without combining it with the symbol mark, depending on the application environment of the medium.
However, except for the approved combinations presented, the Korean, English, and Chinese logotypes must not all be used together simultaneously.

Designated Typefaces

The Korean designated typefaces of Sungkyunkwan University are selected to harmonize with the logotype and proprietary typefaces. These designated typefaces are mainly used when the proprietary typefaces cannot be applied, and are suitable for titles in various visual communication media, as well as captions and body text in forms and publications. While these designated typefaces should be given priority, other typefaces may also be used depending on the characteristics of the medium.
