The SKKU museum will host a special exhibition called “Black Wave” from May 31st to September 27th. This exhibition was prepared thanks to the donation made by the family of Heekang YOO.
“Gumyeo” Heekang YOO (1911~1976) is one of the greatest calligraphers in Korea. YOO’s family donated more than 1000 pieces of his work and also calligraphy utensils that Heekang YOO used when he was alive. YOO’s family hoped that this donation would lead to revival of research on calligraphy and attract people’s attention. This is to inherit the philosophy of Heekang YOO, who believed in enjoying calligraphy in daily life.
