CEO Deok-Hee Ryu Donated 250 million for Research/Scholarship Funds 

Deok-Hee Ryu (Graduate in department of Chemistry and CEO of KyungDong) visited the office of the president of SKKU on April 20 (Tue) and donated a total of 250 million won.

At the scholarship delivery ceremony, Chairman of Board Joonyoung Kim, President Dong-Ryeol Shin, Executive Vice President of Medical Affairs Younghyuk Lim, Dean of Law School Il-Hwan Kim, Vice President of External Affairs Sungwoo Ji attended from campus. Additionally, the CEO of KyungDong Deok-Hee Ryu, the donator, Vice-president Ki-Sung Ryu, President of Alumni Association Yongtaek Yoon, President Emeritus of Alumni Association Yoon-Ha Shin attended to honor the event.

President Dong-Ryeol Shin said at the welcome speech that, “We will try our best to foster global talent with the valuable will of the CEO Ryu, the highest contributor to our university.”

The CEO Deok-Hee Ryu said at the greetings that “I will continue to contribute to the development of my alma mater with continuous donation. I hope the school will also focus on its goal of becoming a global leading university.”

In the commemorative speech, President YongtaekYoon said, “CEO Ryu cares greatly for his alma mater” and expressed hisgratitude on behalf of 230,000 alumni and declared his intention to contribute tothe university as well. 

President Emeritus Yoon-Ha Shin said “Deok-HeeRyu is an example that juniors should respect and emulate. As a senior, I willalways try to make my juniors study in a good environment.” 

Chairman of Board Joonyoung Kim expressedhis gratitude by saying that “Thanks to the CEO Ryu’s great love and passion, ouruniversity was able to open up a bigger world. I feel more grateful for thefact that he expanded the area to support. Our university was able to developrapidly due to outstanding alumni’s great love and support. 

A total amount of the CEO Ryu’s donation to his alma mater is 10.92 billionwon.
