Won the ‘Campus Analytics Challenge’ Contest in the U.S.
- 5 Master’s degree students in the Department of FinTech are conducting dual degrees at the University of South Carolina
Seoyoung Yoon (Department of FinTech, Master’s Course) won the ‘Wells Fargo Campus Analytics Challenge’ hosted by Wells Fargo Bank in the U.S.
The contest was held for all undergraduate and graduate students in the United States, and Yoon participated in the contest under the theme of ‘Determine Transaction Categories Using Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing’ and was selected as the final winner among the 8 candidates.
Yoon said, “The competition was a great opportunity to experience the role of data scientists in the financial industry and explore how artificial intelligence intersects.”
Currently, 5 Master’s students in the department of FinTech, including Seoyoung Yoon, are undergoing dual MSBA degrees at the University of South Carolina, and one more will conduct dual degrees in the 2023 Spring semester.
