Completed 2022 DNA-X Talent Vision Camp

The Center for Innovative Engineering Education (Director Jun Young Lee) held the ‘2022 DNA-X Talent Vision Camp’ at the Samsung Library auditorium on July 15 under the theme of ‘Smoothing to Bio/Healthcare, D.N.A (Data, Network, AI)'.

This camp was held to foster creative innovative DNA-X engineering talents as part of SKKU’s ‘Creative Convergence Engineering Talent Training Project’ supported by the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy and KIAT (Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology). In addition to SKKU students, more than 200 students from 7 universities nationwide, including Kyung Hee University and Incheon National University participated offline.

Director Lee expressed the intention to hold the event in his greeting, saying, “This camp is a place to share thoughts and experiences by inviting experts in the field to explore how to solve various problems related to <Human Healthy Life> through Data, Network, and AI (DNA).”

In the first lecture, professor Jaeboong Choi of SKKU led DNA-X talents to a new digital continent with the theme of ‘To the Metaverse Worldview!’. He emphasized that there is a future only when we continue to learn how to solve creative problems by exploring the new metaverse continent together.

The second lecture was given by professor Seunghoon Lee of Gachon University under the theme of ‘Platform Thinking,’ along with his experience as a management expert that he can become a successful DNA-X talent only when he understands and approaches the ‘platform’ as a two-sided market that both suppliers and consumers are satisfied.

The third lecture was given by professor Jihoon Jeong of DGIST under the theme of ‘Understanding the paradigm shift cycle of the IT industry.’ He told DNA-X talents, “The ability to read the flow is very important, and since the third cycle of the IT paradigm shift (AI, Metaverse, Web 3.0) has begun, it is time to read the market of new opportunities and jump into it.”

The last lecture was conducted by professor Sang Min Won of SKKU under the theme of ‘Pursue Human Health and Happiness with Life-Health Extension Technology’ and shared the need for healthy life and life-health extension technology, and generously shared the know-how of the research process and results of wearable treatment with semiconductors and electronic devices in progress.

Director Lee promised to meet with more advanced programs in the future, saying, “We hope the participants will dream and grow their vision as ‘creative innovative DNA-X engineering talents’ who contribute to healthy lives through the thoughts and experiences of experts and let’s read the future and challenge from now on.”
