Successful Completion of the First Semester



Sungkyunkwan Center for Talent Development (Director and Professor of Child Psychology & Education, Insoo Choe) announced that they successfully completed the first semester by quickly switching all courses online despite two delays due to COVID-19.  


Facing the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the Sungkyunkwan Center for Talent Development selected future topics such as ‘AI and autonomous automobile’, ‘Bio-health’, ‘New Renewable Energy’, and ‘Fine Dust’, and invited experts from various fields to conduct creative education such as core knowledge, various issues, and problem-solving process of topics above.


In particular, it can be considered as a World Premiere who tried to solve the problem creatively by linking the Design Thinking platform MIRO with ZOOM online, and it will be academically announced the composition and effectiveness of the program in the future. Meanwhile, the graduate students from the Sungkyunkwan Center for Talent Development participated as homeroom teachers of each class to supplement their interaction with students who felt being educated online was not enough.



Based on these efforts, the institute said that more than 95% of the respondents were “very satisfied” with the first semester’s curriculum according to the survey that participated students and their parents were questioned after the first semester. They also received very positive opinions and encouragement about the curriculum in the open-response.


In the second semester, they plan to cultivate Renaissance convergence talents by exploring "AI and autonomous automobiles," "Bio-health," "New Renewable Energy," and "Fine Dust" in terms of economic, legal, philosophy and ethic.
