2022 International Summer Semester Completed Successfully
The International Summer Semester (ISS), held for 4 weeks from 2022 June 24th to July 22nd, has completed with success with 515 students from 35 different countries.
The SKKU ISS, which had its 14th anniversary ever since its start in 2008, has positioned itself as a domestically renowned international program due to complete support from school members and the global participation of World Class professors. The program was canceled in 2020 and was conducted fully online in 2021 because of COVID-19. However, in 2022, the program was revived with offline programs.
Student Bethany Webster, from the University of Leicester, shared some comments, “This was not only a valuable opportunity to meet friends from different parts of the world but also a special way to get out of our Comfort zone.” Also, Student Megi Karigi, from the University of North Florida, said, “The most valuable gift I have received from this ‘adventure’ is of course the exchange with students from different cultures and backgrounds.”
With the complete support from SKKU school members, all the students and faculty who joined the program could learn more about Korea and SKKU, not to mention all the precious memories made along the way. This December, the Winter International Student Experience (WISE) will be held with the theme of Korean language education and Korean Studies.
