Smart manufacturing research team from the Dept. of Industrial Engineering (College of Engineering) was selected to take part in an international joint research project called, “EUREKA SMART” (Director: Prof. Sangdo ROH, Participants: Prof. Hyunjung KIM, Dr.Yongshin KANG). The name of the project is, “Cyber Physical Assembly and Logistics Systems in Global Supply Chains, C-PALS”.
The research team was accredited by the board of EUREKA SMART advanced manufacturing last July (S0101-C-PALS) and it is the first and only research team in Korea to take part in the EUREKA SMART program.
This project aims for the development and application of assembly/supply smart app and also a development of platform and cloud service based with CPS. In Korea,Yura Co. and Dexsta Co. will join the project along with global companies such as SCANIA, ERICSSON, H&D Wireless and the Royal Institute of Technology. The research fund is KRW 4,100,000,000 for the three-year period.
