SKKU Start-Up Support Team held the SVC forum (SKKU alumni in the field of venture capital) on May 17th. More than 50 alumni joined this event at the Grand Intercontinental Hotel and discussed about ways to cooperate with the school.
This is the second SVC forum after the first event held last October. President Dong Ryeol SHIN and other important members of the school joined this event. Two faculty members introduced technologies relevant to start-up companies.
President SHIN said, “Our university will move forward as a leader of new industries by following the innovations in the fourth industrial revolution. I hope the school and alumni join hands to develop a win-win relationship.”
After the welcome address made by President SHIN, start-up faculty members introduced their companies. Prof. Jaeyoung CHOI introduced C&C Materials Co. and its world-class powder coating technology. Kyungmin JOO (School of Medicine) introduced Meddino Co. and explained about its plan on developing stem cell medicine.
SVC alumni anticipated that technologies developed in the university laboratories will become commercialized more and more in the future and promised to continue the SVC forum. The next SKKU VC forum will be held this Fall.
