A new book lounge which incorporated robots has opened on March 19th.

It is located at the first floor of the Samsung Library in the Natural Sciences campus. It has introduced “LIBO”, a robot librarian and also a robot barista called “b;eat”. LIBO goes around the library to guide visitors and also give recommendations for books. It also provides information about academic journal, media, lecture, academic seminar and organizations.

The book lounge is a space for students to freely share ideas and information for creativity. It has displayed over 5,000 books with the sponsorship of Interpark (book company) and it also has a space for students to enjoy their drink while reading.

In the opening ceremony, they had a ‘Blind Book Date’ event where they gave out 100 books sealed in paper wrappings. The Director of the Library said, “We will bring energy to the university by forming a new library culture.”
