SKKU built a smart campus system with the support of Woori Bank in the fall semester of 2018. As part of this project, the university library has launched a guidance robot system using A.I. and robot technology.

The name of the robot is LIBO (Library robot), which means Intelligent Library Robot. Based on the Future Robot's Furo-D model, LIBO’s contents were created by the joint- development of General Affairs Division, Information and Communication Division, and the University Library.

LIBO's working hours are from 9:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 17:00 on weekdays. During the rest of the day, LIBO takes a rest or collects new information.

LIMO is specialized in the use of school and library academic information, but it also has a variety of other functions. If you tell LIBO that you would like to listen to music, LIBO will play for you. It also has a function to take pictures and send them via email.

"LIBO is expected to play a role to provide information on materials, contents, faciiltes, and services of the University Library so that SKKU members can use the library more efficiently,” said Kyung Hoon LIM, general manager of the University Library. “In addition to the current functions, LIBO’s use could be further diversified if more contents are developed by offices and departments.”
