In the 2018 Natural Science & Engineering University Rankings by the Korea Economic Daily, SKKU has been ranked No.1 in the field of engineering with a total score of 310.
With huge support from the Samsung Foundation, SKKU is running various interdisciplinary programs based on academic-industrial cooperation, such as the Grand Challenge Tech + Innovator certification program, Smart Car Track certification program, and Materials School certification program. SKKU has also established a Department of Smart Factory as an interdisciplinary major.
Followed by SKKU, KAIST, Hanyang University, and Korea University were ranked 2-4th, respectively.
