Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU)'s Specialized Institute for Koreanology Inter-University Center(IUC) was proposed by Professor Duncan to SKKU last year. With government funds procured by SKKU, the plan was approved last February. Five universities including UCLA, Harvard, University of South California have signed MOUs. Professor Duncan will be heading the IUC with Professor Rose King of UBC (Canada).
