Creative design Institute(under the directorship of Chief Yong sei Kim) of Sungkyunkwan university(under the directorship of President Jun young Kim) held the 19th ‘International Conference on Engineering Design’ concerning ‘Design for Harmonies’ from coming 19th to 22nd at the 600th anniversary Hall and International Hall of Sungkyunkwan university. It was the first time that an Asian country hosting this international conference.
The conference which is the world’s leading academic symposium on engineering design that presented a slogan, △harmony between the product and service △harmony between old and new things △harmony between the culture and technology △harmony between eastern and western culture.
Including keynote speech from Young Sei Kim, the representative of INO design, the world’s best experts from 38 countries like Panos Papalambros, the top expert in design science field and professor of University of Michigan, Jihye Park , director of Kwame Corporation, Petra Badke-Schaub, professor at Technical University Delft will be invited to conference and present total 340 papers that are classified by 9 themes.
