Splendid achievement of SKKU SKK GSB

Ranked 66th in FT Global MBA Rankings 2012
SKK GSB MBA is better than Harvard & Stanford in the ‘International Experience’ rank;
11 MBA programs in Asia are ranked in the top 100 MBA programs

The Financial Times (FT) announced the 2012 Global MBA (Full-time) ranking and Sungkyunkwan University SKK GSB is ranked 66th in the world and 10th in Asia.

Among MBA programs in Korea, only the Global MBA program of SKK GSB is ranked in the top 100 MBA programs. Also, SKK GSB has received the highest ranking since MBA programs in Korea were established. It is 33 ranks ahead of KAIST MBA’s 99th ranking in 2011.

SKK GSB gained high evaluation in ‘Diversity – globalization’ and ‘Alumni - career development’ indices. More significantly, SKK GSB is ranked 11th, higher than Harvard and Stanford in ‘International Experience’ rank. SKK GSB has very active international programs: annually 15 to 20 graduates get dual degrees from either MIT Sloan or Indiana University Kelley, it has study abroad programs with six renowned U.S. business schools like MIT Sloan, Northwestern Kellogg, Columbia Business School, Michigan Ross, Dartmouth Tuck, Indiana Kelley. In the career development index, SKK GSB is ranked 58th in salary increase, 54th in promotion, 35th in career service from the school and the placement rate in three months after graduation is 97%.

“The ranking result confirms that SKK GSB is a world-class MBA program in Korea. The goal from the beginning was to have a globally ranked MBA program in Korea so Koreans would not have to go abroad to get an education equivalent to the top-ranked MBA programs in the world. The future goal is for continuous improvement of the program and its global ranking.” said Dean Robert Klemkosky.

In the 2012 FT global MBA ranking, Stanford MBA is top ranked and Harvard MBA is ranked second. Wharton School of the Univ. of Pennsylvania is ranked third. Asian business schools are strong: HKUST is ranked tenth, the highest among MBA programs in Asia. Including SKK GSB, 11 MBA programs in Asia - China, India and Singapore- are ranked in the top 100 MBA programs.

FT announces global top 100 MBA programs and their ranking every year. It is one of the MBA rankings like U.S. News and BusinessWeek that inspire strong public confidence. Other rankings focus on U.S. MBA programs, but FT MBA ranking has broader targets including Europe and Asia MBA programs. So, it is recognized as the most globalized MBA ranking in the world.
