College of Pharmacy Signs MOU with Stanford University and Hosts SKKU Global Drug Discovery Symposium


The College of Pharmacy (Dean: Professor Hyoungsik Kim) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute (Director: Professor Joseph Wu) on Friday, August 22. This agreement opens a new chapter for international joint research and student exchange. The partnership aims to foster next-generation research talent and actively pursue collaborative studies for innovative drug development. Through this, SKKU’s College of Pharmacy plans to strengthen its role as a global research hub and further expand its international research network.

In addition, as part of the University Innovation Support Project, the College successfully hosted the 2025 SKKU Global Drug Discovery Symposium. This symposium served as a forum where distinguished domestic and international scholars and researchers gathered to share the latest achievements in drug discovery and to explore future collaboration opportunities. The event highlighted diverse outcomes from basic research as well as clinical applications, while also offering students the opportunity to engage with world-renowned researchers.

Notably, the symposium was organized and led by the College of Pharmacy, further strengthening its global research capacity and solidifying its foundation for international collaboration. Supported by the University Innovation Support Project, the event provided researchers with a valuable platform for cooperation and offered students meaningful academic growth experiences.


Looking ahead, the College of Pharmacy will continue to expand its collaborative network with leading global universities and research institutions, spearheading innovative research and talent cultivation to lead the field of global drug discovery.
