Professor Jin-Ki Lee Receives the Namheon Academic Award from the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers

Professor Jin-Ki Lee from the Department of Mechanical Engineering has been awarded the Namheon Academic Award by the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers (KSME).

The Namheon Academic Award is presented to researchers who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of academic knowledge in the field of thermal-fluid engineering. Established in 1993 from a fund donated by former KSME president Taek-Sik Lee (pen name: Namheon) to promote academic research, the award annually recognizes scholars with exceptional achievements in fluid engineering.

Professor Lee has published numerous high-quality research papers in domestic and international journals, including the study titled “Enhanced Liquid Transport on a Highly Scalable, Cost-Effective, and Flexible 3D Topological Liquid Capillary Diode.”

This research proposed a structurally innovative design that enables precise control of one-directional liquid flow. It was highly acclaimed for its ability to guide fluid flow effectively without the need for an external pump. The study holds strong potential for applications in various fields such as heat transfer, biochips, and cooling systems. Professor Lee’s continued academic contributions have led to this well-deserved recognition.
