Office of International Affairs Hosts Orientation for Spring 2025 Exchange and Visiting Students

A total of 470 international students have joined Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) as exchange students for the Spring 2025 semester. These students, coming from 213 partner universities across 53 countries, will take a variety of courses, including major, general education, and exchange student-exclusive classes. They will be studying at the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus (405 students) and the Natural Sciences Campus (65 students) for the semester.

On February 27 (Thursday), the Office of International Affairs (OIA) and its student organization, Hi-Club, hosted the Spring 2025 Exchange and Visiting Student Orientation at the Business School Auditorium.

In her welcoming remarks, Minhyo Cho, Dean of the Office of International Affairs, greeted the students and emphasized, “As you learn and experience new things at Sungkyunkwan University, we, too, grow together, moving towards becoming an even more open and global university. We hope you create wonderful memories, gain valuable experiences, and build lasting friendships during your time here.”

The orientation covered key topics such as SKKU’s history, campus facilities, course registration, visa and residence matters, as well as safety and security guidelines. Following the session, students participated in a guided campus tour, including visits to Sungkyunkwan and Myeongnyundang, providing them with a deeper understanding of SKKU’s rich heritage and academic environment.
