Prof. Kyung Zoon Hong (Department of Social Welfare)
Selected as the 41st President of the Korean Academy of Social Welfare
On January 18, Prof. Kyung Zoon Hong (Department of Social Welfare) was selected as the 41st President of the Korean Academy of Social Welfare.
Prof. Hong received both B.A. and Litt.D. (Department of Social Welfare) from Seoul National University. After working as a professor at Chonbuk National University, Prof. Hong has been a professor at the Department of Social Welfare at SKKU College of Social Sciences since 2002.
Prof. Hong served as the Dean of SKKU School of Social Welfare, President of the Korean Association of Social Welfare Policy, Chairman of a Board of the Institute for Good Governance, and President of the Korean Academic Association of Comparative Social Policy.
The Korean Academy of Social Welfare, founded in 1957, is the largest social welfare academic organization in Korea and publishes academic journals <Korean Social Welfare Studies> and <Asian Social Work and Policy Review>.
