SKKU Start-up Business Support Platform 

Signs MOU with Hwaseong Industry Promotion Agency

- Joint support for Start-ups and fostering them to vitalize the local economy

SKKU Start-up Business Support Platform signed MOU for ‘Vitalizing the local economy through start-up cooperation’ with Hawseong Industry Promotion Agency, signed at their place, on Nov. 30 (Wed). On the day of the ceremony, the following personnel participated: Kyung Hwan Kim (SKKU Start-up Support Director), Joo Wan Seung (Manager), Hyun Seon Park (Assistant Manager), Won Joo Na (Hwaseong Industry Promotion Agency Director), Raehyang Kang (Head of Management Support), Dohwan Choi (Head of Industry Planning).


The Hwaseong Industry Promotion Agency, managing business projects customized to mid-sized companies such as fostering, supporting, accelerating, and securing office space, nurtures about 120 start-ups annually and proceeded to sign contracts for start-up-centered university business project cooperation with the school that possesses start-up support platform, SKKU.


Through this contract, the Start-up Support Platform and Hwaseong Industry Promotion Agency plan to cooperate on start-up support through the Start-up Support Platform, pioneer the market of start-ups, support marketing, and interchange professional personnel to vitalize the local economy.

Director of Hwaseong Industry Promotion Agency, Won Joo Na, said, “We’d like to strengthen our cooperation with SKKU through this MOU for start-up support. We hope Hwaseong Industry Promotion Agency can play an important role in vitalizing the local economy by supporting start-ups, and cooperating with SKKU.”


SKKU Start-up Support Platform Director, Kyung Hwan Kim, said, “The trend of providing quality job opportunities for local young people is changing towards the start-ups. Together with Hwaseong Industry Promotion Agency, the Gyeonggido Start-up support system will be established so that the school can contribute to the activation of local start-ups.”
