The programs of the School of Social Sciences are designed to provide students with a broad, systematic, understanding of the society they serve. Its five departments are closely connected. Consequently, many students choose a double major. Through work in a variety of disciplines, students gain skills in critical reading, effective writing and an awareness of historical and philosophical issues in our culture.
